PROJECT OVERVIEW
This is an interactive sound and visual experience that highlights the often overlooked world of insects and their natural music. It invites people, especially children and young audiences to engage with insect sounds, create their own musical remixes, and learn about the ecological importance of these creatures in a playful, immersive way.
Through a combination of sound, visuals, and interactivity, this project aims to inspire curiosity, care, and awareness of the small but vital contributors to our ecosystems.

COLOR PALETTE
The color palette is inspired by nature and insects using earthy greens, warm browns, and bright pops of red and blue to show their energy and environment.
VISUAL LANGUAGE
I’ve built the visual language using layered compositions, textured elements, and raw, imperfect forms to reflect the organic and spontaneous nature of insect sounds.
This approach gives the project an authentic, handmade feel celebrating the rhythm and energy of nature in a playful yet grounded way.
SOCIAL CONTEXT
Many children grow up fearing insects or ignoring them.
Indian biodiversity is vast but underrepresented in creative media.
Insects are underappreciated in topics of conservation as they are considered irrelevant.
FUTURE SCOPE
Expand to a mobile/web version for schools. Integrate with music education programs or science exhibits. Collaborate with brands like Red Bull Music or Sony Music India for environmental campaigns.
Include AR-based exploration of insects and 3D soundscapes.
Serve as a creative platform for artists and children to explore natural sound.

Here, the tiny sounds we often ignore become something you can explore, play with, and remix through an interactive sound and visual setup. It’s a space to slow down, listen closely, and discover how alive the natural soundscape around us really is.
The name Keetpunk comes from keetpankh (insect wings). We replaced pankh with punk to reflect the project’s raw, layered, slightly rebellious visual identity. It’s a blend of delicacy, attitude and unexpected energy just like insects themselves.
Keetpunk invites you to step inside, experiment, and tune into a world that’s been playing music long before we ever did.
Using the keyboard as a live sound pad, pressing the keys 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Q, W, E, R, and T triggers different insect sounds and visuals, allowing users to play, mix, and create their own interactive insect-inspired music experience.
